Overview

Engagement Consultant at WSP UK supports stakeholder engagement, public consultations and communications across a diverse project portfolio. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to inform decision-making and foster trusted community relationships. You will create accessible communications, organise engagement activities, and translate feedback into actionable insights. Responsibilities

  • Deliver stakeholder engagement, public consultation and communication programmes across various projects
  • Create clear, accessible communications for communities and stakeholders
  • Organise engagement activities (events, exhibitions, workshops, webinars, surveys)
  • Analyse feedback and present findings with reports and recommendations
  • Develop engagement materials (websites, virtual platforms, brochures, fact sheets, posters, maps)
  • Provide engagement support to projects across the UK and internationally
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver activities on time and within budget
  • Contribute to development of engagement strategies, plans and reporting

Key requirements

  • Degree-qualified, or equivalent experience in communications, engagement, public affairs or related field
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to translate complex information into plain English
  • Experience producing communication materials (newsletters, websites, fact sheets, brochures, stakeholder updates)
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative yet able to work independently
  • Demonstrable experience in communications, engagement or stakeholder management
