Overview

In this Creative/Artistic Youth Worker role, you will support pupils with complex SEND needs in a 1:1 and classroom context at a Telford school. You’ll draw on an arts and sensory/therapy background to engage pupils, promote confidence, and facilitate meaningful progress within an individualised, holistic timetable. You will collaborate with staff to ensure consistent goals aligned to EHCPs, contributing to a calm, purposeful learning environment. Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Utilise arts, sensory, drama, and therapy techniques to engage students
• Contribute to an individualised timetable aligned with EHCP goals
• Create a calm and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with classroom staff and external professionals
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and the school community
• Deliver engaging lessons and CPD-style sessions for staff
• Support pupil wellbeing and behaviour management using creative approaches
• Participate in safeguarding and development activities as per policy
• Adaptable, proactive, and positive presence in daily routines
