Overview

In this role you drive growth as a Business Development Director, expanding CDMO partnerships with pharma, biotech, and consumer health clients. You’ll build and manage key relationships, identify opportunities, and craft value-driven proposals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will collaborate across Commercial Operations, Legal, and internal teams to close high-value deals and ensure client success. Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to grow CDMO partnerships with pharma, biotech, and consumer health entities
  • Prospect via cold calling, networking, and industry events; manage the sales pipeline in CRM
  • Present and promote CDMO services with clear value propositions to clients
  • Negotiate and execute complex development and supply agreements to meet targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with strategic account plans
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor moves, and market developments
  • Close high-value contracts and manage key accounts for long-term retention
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans using Korn Ferry and Scotwork methodologies
  • Represent the company at conferences and trade shows
  • Ensure reporting accuracy and cross-functional communication across the organization

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or project management
  • Pharma consumer health industry experience required
  • Experience in the oral solid dosage market preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration, or related field (advanced degrees advantageous)
  • Sales or BD experience in the contract pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Hunting mentality and proven revenue growth track record
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • English proficiency; strong communication
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
