Product Certification Auditor-Built Environment / Digital Construction(BIM)

Overview

As a Product Certification Auditor (Client Manager) at BSI, you validate client systems against BSI standards, delivering clear assessment reports and actionable corrective actions. You act as the client-facing ambassador, managing accounts and coordinating assessment teams to ensure high-quality service. The role spans BIM-focused product assessments under ISO 19650, with potential involvement in PAS 2080 carbon management. You will contribute to client satisfaction, account growth, and the delivery of trusted certifications from a globally recognized standards organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assessment reports and present findings to clients with actionable recommendations
• Manage account relationships to ensure service quality and growth
• Lead assessment teams and ensure effective client and team collaboration
• Provide accurate information to support services and maintain up-to-date client records
• Coach and onboard colleagues, especially newer assessors
• Plan workloads to maximize efficiency and revenue
• Attend required training and follow BSI procedures for home-based work
• Progress through onboarding to Lead Assessor status
• Manage a portfolio of clients by location and contract requirements
• Schedule visits, plan assessments, conduct assessments, and report results
• Monitor client accounts to ensure records, invoicing, and visit cycles are managed
• Lead teams and mentor colleagues as needed
• Undertake additional assignments to meet delivery objectives

Key requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in BIM, Built Environment, Construction or similar
• Expertise in ISO 19650 and BIM framework
• Desirable: PAS 2080 Carbon Management in Infrastructure
• Experience in 3rd party external auditing against standards
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 auditing practices
• Ability to work in a home-based setting and travel for assessments
