Overview

In this Senior Manager role, you lead cost and commercial management for strategic education-sector client projects. You will drive feasibility, cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement strategies, shaping project outcomes from inception to completion. You’ll manage contract administration, cost reporting, and value management while mentoring teammates and driving process improvements. The role offers impact at scale, supporting net zero initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within a values-driven, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage feasibility studies and advise on procurement strategies
• Lead cost planning, valuations, and reporting for projects
• Oversee contract preparation, administration, and final accounts
• Apply value management techniques at project outset
• Evaluate change orders and design change costs
• Drive stakeholder engagement and team leadership
• Implement process improvements and mentor team members
• Support net zero carbon initiatives across delivery

Key requirements

• Chartered MRICS
• Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent)
• Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts
• Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks
• Proficient knowledge of education/public sector environments
