Overview

In this role, you lead the delivery of high-quality, persuasive proposals to win water-sector work. You will coordinate a cross‑functional bid team, engage clients and partners, and manage the end-to-end work-winning lifecycle from capture to award. You shape bid strategy, craft tailored content, and ensure governance and timely submissions. You’ll contribute to broader business development and share Water best practices across the team. This is a hands-on position with impact on win rates, deliverables, and the Water unit’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the work winning lifecycle from capture to contract award, including kick-off and review meetings
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and partners; ensure timely deliverables and governance
  • Develop proposal structures, source content, write tailored, compelling bids and create visuals
  • Prepare client interviews support, including presentation development and coaching
  • Promote best practices, capture feedback, and drive continuous improvement in proposals and processes
  • Maintain brand coherence and provide reusable materials (CVs, project sheets)
  • Engage in strategy development, market intelligence, and capture planning for targeted pursuits
  • Manage portals and client-facing communications to progress pursuits

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of private and public sector proposal processes
  • Experience managing proposals or bids within infrastructure consultancy or related sectors
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; Adobe suite inDesign desired; graphics skills
  • APMP Foundation as a minimum
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills; time management and deadline discipline
  • Ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams and work under pressure
