Associate – Corporate – Exeter – 3-4 Years PQE

Overview

In this Corporate Associate role, you will support a Legal 500-ranked team in Exeter on high-value transactions for a diverse client base, from startups to international organisations. You will work closely with Partners and senior lawyers to handle complex M&A, VC, and PE matters, including cross-border work, while building sector knowledge and lasting client relationships. The position offers exposure to top-tier work, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to develop commercial, strategic advice. Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of corporate matters for diverse clients (startups to international organisations)
• Lead and support M&A, venture capital, private equity, joint ventures, cross-border matters and restructurings
• Work with Partners and senior lawyers to manage high-value transactions
• Develop sector knowledge and build relationships with clients in private equity, VC, funds, and public/private companies

Key requirements

• 3-4 years PQE in corporate law
• Strong drafting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Solid understanding of M&A, venture capital and private equity
• Ability to manage matters independently and collaboratively
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Proactive, commercially minded approach
