As a People Development Partner at BSI, you will shape capability strategy and deliver practical development solutions to support current and future business priorities. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategy into targeted development plans, capability frameworks, and talent initiatives. The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on design, coaching, and delivery across divisions, including global coordination. You will drive measurable impact by using data to prioritise development and embedding BSI’s enterprise People Development approach. Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to People Directors, Senior People Business Partners and leadership teams
- Develop development plans aligned to divisional priorities and enterprise capability needs
- Analyse people data (engagement, attrition, inclusion, learning utilisation) to identify development priorities
- Lead capability gap assessments and needs analysis across designated areas
- Design and deliver blended development solutions (workshops, coaching, team development, psychometric interventions)
- Develop capability frameworks, career maps and practical development support
- Support talent and succession activities, identifying needs and risks in critical roles
- Create accelerated development interventions for key talent and potential successors
- Set success measures and evaluate impact of development activities
- Ensure utilisation of enterprise People Development offerings and adapt where needed
- Collaborate with external consultants and suppliers when specialist input is required
- Share insights and trends to shape BSI’s global offer
- Lead multiple projects to deliver on time and within budget
Key requirements
- Significant experience addressing complex organisational capability and development needs
- Experience leading strategic capability discussions with senior stakeholders
- Strong ability to conduct development needs analysis and translate into practical plans
- Experience designing and delivering development interventions for individuals, teams and groups
- Strong instructional design and learning facilitation capability
- Experience using AI tools to design or improve learning solutions
- Strong consultancy, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience coaching leaders to support performance and career growth
- Confidence using data to inform development decisions
- Strong project management skills with able to manage multiple priorities and budgets
