Manager Plant Engineering

Overview

In this role you will lead a centralized program for plant improvements and engineering support across the international region, overseeing large capital projects and facility standards. You will help maintain asset reliability, support REFCO governance, and drive standardized processes in plant environments. You collaborate with operations, engineering, and regulatory teams to deliver on-time, on-budget projects that improve safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale capital improvements and new plant builds, coordinating with operations, regulatory, and external partners to meet time, budget, and design goals
• Support REFCO: business case modelling and feasibility analysis to identify cost-effective options
• Develop and implement standard plant metrics, dashboards, and maintenance processes to monitor health and lifecycle costs
• Define equipment/layout standards with cross-functional teams; specify and source standardized assets
• Provide engineering solutions for safety and operational issues in the plant environment
• Assist with permit submissions and regulatory requirements in collaboration with EHS and other functions
• Conduct root cause analysis for plant downtime and drive corrective action plans
• Coach technicians and supervisors; share best practices to boost productivity and operational efficiency

Key requirements

• Education in Business Management, Finance, Operations Management, Project Management or Engineering; equivalent experience accepted
• Management experience in a related industry with remote teams and cross-functional project delivery
• Strong regulatory knowledge applicable to waste, healthcare and service industries
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders and drive change across functions
• Experience leading teams through change and achieving challenging financial targets
• Strong project management and organizational skills with strategic prioritization
• Solid financial acumen for managing large-scale projects
