Overview
In this role you will support Fieldfisher’s Manchester Real Estate team on a broad range of transactional matters, including acquisitions, disposals, development, and asset management for landlord and tenant clients and corporate occupiers. You will work with partners and senior colleagues to deliver high-quality advice, manage matters, and contribute to business development. The position offers exposure to both commercial and residential development work and real estate finance, within a collaborative, high-performing firm. You will engage with cross-functional teams across a European law firm, contributing to client outcomes and service delivery.

Responsibilities
- Assist partners on acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold real estate assets
- Support commercial and residential development transactions (site acquisitions/disposals, development agreements, options, overage, easements)
- Advise on landlord and tenant and asset management matters (agréments for lease, leases, licences, assignments, renewals, rent reviews)
- Assist on investment, portfolio, and real estate finance transactions; perform title due diligence and produce reports
- Take responsibility for matters or parts of larger transactions with client contact and coordination
- Draft legal documents including title review and reporting
- Conduct legal research and contribute to know-how
- Assist with business development (articles, client briefings, events, social media)
- Ensure accurate time recording and diary management
- Liaise with clients, counsel, and external advisers professionally
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 1–3 years PQE in transactional real estate
- Experience in landlord and tenant and asset management; exposure to development work and other transactional real estate
- Knowledge of English land law and landlord/tenant law; willingness to broaden across team’s scope
- Experience drafting and negotiating transactional real estate documents and conducting title due diligence
