Finance Analyst (0621)

Overview

In this role you contribute to our vision of being the UK’s favourite property manager by delivering client-focused financial reporting for asset management clients. You will own month-end reporting, support SPV audits, and ensure KPI targets are met, enabling accurate financial insight for operations and management. You work closely with auditors and cross-functional teams to sustain high-quality reporting and timely analysis. This position offers hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls within a collaborative asset management environment. You will help shape efficient processes and develop your professional skills while contributing to the team’s goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain month-end schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and management accounts for SPVs and LP entities
• Produce quarterly management reports for client entities
• Resolve account issues and maintain quality service for asset management clients
• Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth audit outcomes
• Proactive audit and accounts liaison with analysts/managers on concerns
• Bank reconciliations and processing payments
• Prepare prepayments, accruals, and related schedules
• Monthly analysis for Commercial & Asset Management divisions
• Assist in weekly KPI reporting to AVIVA operations management
• Prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts
• Partner with operations and present monthly results and analyses
• Identify process efficiencies
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks/analysis
• Own personal development and contribute ideas to the team

Key requirements

• 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Preferrable to be working towards a professional qualification
• Friendly professional manner with internal/external stakeholders
• Understanding of statutory reporting and SPVs advantageous
• Knowledge of Qube and Sage advantageous
• Inquisitive, proactive and careful approach
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience and understanding of the industry preferred
