Overview

In this role you support vulnerable individuals through Court of Protection work within a busy Property & Affairs team. You will manage deputyship matters, advise deputies and attorneys, and prepare Court documents to facilitate financial and property decisions. The position emphasizes compliance, client care, and collaboration with the OPG and external parties. You will help grow the team while handling a varied, meaningful caseload that aligns with the firm’s growth and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications and ongoing case management
  • Advise clients, deputies and attorneys on financial and property decisions
  • Draft applications, reports and supporting documentation for the Court
  • Manage client finances including expenditure, investments and property matters
  • Liaise with the Office of the Public Guardian and other third parties
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver high-standard client care with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Support the development and growth of the team

Key requirements

  • 2+ years’ PQE in Court of Protection Property & Affairs work
  • Strong understanding of Court procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
