Overview

In this VP Credit Analyst role, you will lead corporate credit analysis with a focus on financial institutions, across both standalone and structured transactions. You will evaluate capital structures, funding models, and risk protections while guiding due diligence and deal terms. You’ll work within the Alternative Credit Group in London to assess credit quality across the capital structure and contribute to portfolio monitoring and investment committee materials. The position offers exposure to a global, multi-asset team and a high-impact, judgment-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate credit analysis across the capital structure, specializing in financial institutions
• Evaluate business models, funding structures, leverage, capital adequacy, and downside protections
• Build and review financial models to assess cash flows and stress scenarios
• Provide ecosystem assessments on structured deals—originators, servicers, sponsors
• Lead due diligence, including review of transaction documentation, covenants, and structural protections
• Shape transaction terms and risk mitigants with deal leads
• Monitor portfolio positions and contribute to investment committee materials

Key requirements

• VP-level experience in corporate credit investing or leveraged finance
• Strong grounding in financial institutions
• Ability to assess creditworthiness and operational soundness of financial businesses in structured finance
• Legal background or documentation expertise is an advantage
• Structured credit investing experience is a plus
• Strong downside focus and sound credit judgment
