Process Engineer

Overview

As a Process Engineer at Reckitt in Hull, you will own short-term performance of a manufacturing cell and act as a process expert for key technologies. You’ll collaborate with Process Leads, Maintenance and Operations to drive improvements that cut downtime and waste while boosting efficiency. You will lead improvement initiatives, coach teams in CI methods, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers meaningful impact on site performance and opportunities to evolve manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tactical Improvement Plans (TIP) with Process Leads to reduce downtime and waste
• Own actions from line reviews and proactive issue resolution
• Build world-class manufacturing capabilities and implement center lining, defect handling, and best run settings
• Lead complex problem-solving using structured CI tools (RCA, A3, DMAIC)
• Drive daily improvement actions to enhance efficiency and robustness of processes
• Implement improvements aligned to site CI strategy and business goals
• Analyze data to address chronic losses and develop action plans
• Develop and deliver CI training for operators, technicians, engineers and cell leaders
• Coach teams in CI methodologies and standard work
• Support talent development by fostering a continuous improvement culture

Key requirements

• Green Belt Six Sigma
• Bachelors in Engineering or HND in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
• 5-10 years manufacturing experience
• Project Management qualification (Desirable) (e.g., CAPM, PMP, APM, Prince2)
