Overview

As a Software Architect at Yapily, you will design scalable web applications, services, and APIs, integrating AI-native development to boost velocity and quality. You’ll partner with product and stakeholders to shape a pragmatic technical roadmap and lead standards and code reviews. You will deepen expertise in Open Banking and PSD2, ensuring reliable, secure delivery of value through our API-driven platform. Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee scalable web apps, services, and APIs with focus on performance and reliability
• Champion AI-native development workflows to improve developer velocity, code quality, and maintainability
• Collaborate with Product Managers to shape the technical roadmap and translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Define technical standards and lead robust code reviews to foster technical excellence
• Coordinate with Support and CSM to troubleshoot and resolve critical customer issues
• Deepen Open Banking and PSD2 expertise to advance API capabilities

Key requirements

• Expert-level experience with Java and the Spring Framework
• Proven track record in distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Experience integrating AI coding agents into development workflows
• API-first product mindset focused on customer outcomes
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced startup environments
• Strong communication skills bridging engineering and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of relevant experience
