Building Surveyor – South East England

In this Building Surveyor role, you support reinstatement work for buildings impacted by events such as fire, flood, water damage, and impacts. You will manage inspections, specify repairs, and act as contract administrator to deliver projects on time and budget. You’ll produce technical reports, assess costs, and collaborate with homeowners, contractors, loss adjusters, and other professionals. Responsibilities

• Lead reinstatement projects for buildings affected by incidents (fire, flood, water damage, impact)
• Specify building repairs and act as contract administrator
• Produce technical reports on building matters and assess/validate costs and quotations
• Coordinate with homeowners, building contractors, loss adjusters, and other professionals
• Manage projects to time and budget with support from administration and operations
• Work across home, site, and office environments to maintain balance and efficiency

Key requirements

• MRICS/MCIOB or working towards; Building Surveying qualification or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Knowledge of building construction and repair with practical experience
• Experience with schedules of rates and contractor networks (helpful)
• Familiarity with building contracts (helpful)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to empathise with clients
