Overview

In this role you bridge business strategy and technical execution within Payments Engineering to build a scalable, cloud-based payment platform for corporate clients. You will translate product needs into technical specs, collaborate with engineers and product teams, and guide implementations in ISO 20022 and payment rails. The position offers growth into leadership and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, regulatory alignment, and resilient delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements with product managers and stakeholders and translate them into detailed technical specs and user stories
• Analyze system dependencies, data models, and API integrations to ensure feasible, aligned solutions
• Serve as liaison between Payments Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Compliance to align priorities and drive delivery
• Act as subject matter expert on payment processing, messaging standards (ISO 20022), and clearing networks
• Coordinate annual scheme attestations, audits, and evidence collection to ensure regulatory and operational compliance
• Drive Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), manage technical backlog, and support developers during implementation

Key requirements

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years as technical business analyst or techno-functional role in payments/fintech
• Strong understanding of SDLC, system architecture, APIs, and data modeling
• Deep knowledge of payment processing, lifecycle, and ISO 20022 and payment rails
• Proven stakeholder management between technical teams and business partners
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence
