Senior AI Native Software Engineer

Overview

In this London-based hybrid role, you own end-to-end agent systems to enhance Remitly’s treasury operations. You’ll build cash-flow, funding, and narrative agents, embedding with the Funding team to understand day-to-day processes and pain points. You’ll shape scalable agent infrastructure and governance while exploring new LLM capabilities to keep treasury operations ahead. This is a chance to directly impact liquidity, funding accuracy, and cross-border finance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain treasury agents: cash-flow monitoring, funding execution, and narrative agents
• Build a discovery-to-deployment pipeline with Funding operators to automate manual tasks
• Embed with the Funding team to gain firsthand process understanding before scoping agents
• Create reusable agent components and tool libraries for scale across markets
• Contribute to governance standards, evaluation frameworks, and shared infrastructure for agents
• Collaborate with Treasury Engineering to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Research and recommend emergent LLM capabilities and agent tooling
• Engineer end-to-end agent-enabled workflows with risk parameters and business rules

Key requirements

• Advanced proficiency with coding agents in complex development scenarios
• Experience architecting multi-service systems with integrations and scaling
• Understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs and cloud-based design
• AI tool fluency: orchestrators, automated workflows, evaluation pipelines
• Advanced systems architecture across the tech stack
• Proficiency in customer discovery and linking technical work to business outcomes
• Competence with design thinking, analytics tools, and funnel analysis
• Experience guiding others on AI-first development and mentoring
