Overview

As a Principal Cyber Security Consultant you will provide senior-level cyber security guidance to customers, shaping security strategies and investment decisions. You’ll lead consultancy activities, assess risks, and translate complex security models into actionable outcomes. The role interacts with senior stakeholders to improve resilience and drive business growth through innovative security solutions. This position offers the chance to work across multiple sites and contribute to national security-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide cyber security consultancy to customers and senior stakeholders
• Develop business cases and investment strategies by articulating cyber risk impact
• Oversee outputs of cyber security maturity assessments to identify improvements
• Interpret risk models, audits and assurance activities to support decision-making and risk management
• Assess vulnerabilities and maturity using frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATTACK and UK Government guidance
• Contribute innovative cyber security solutions and bid responses to support business growth

Key requirements

• Extensive experience applying cyber security principles across business and operational environments
• Strategic cyber security advice, developing business cases and shaping security strategies
• Experience evaluating cyber security solutions/architectures including Zero Trust, using NIST, ISO27001 and MITRE ATT&CK
• Experience leading customer engagement and business development, bid content creation
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead teams through coaching and mentoring
