Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own the full stack development of the Yoto Club product, delivering performant, accessible front- and back-end experiences and integrating payments. You will partner with Product, Design and the Core app team to boost stability, conversion and subscriber growth. Expect to propose architectural improvements with ADRs/RFCs, run rapid experiments and maintain a product-minded approach focused on user outcomes and web performance. You’ll help shape how the team works in a startup environment and contribute where it matters most.

Responsibilities

• Own full stack development of the Yoto Club product, including frontend, backend and Stripe-based payments
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Core app teams to ship features that improve stability, conversion and growth
• Propose and document technical improvements using ADRs and RFCs and communicate changes to diverse audiences
• Plan and run fast experiments, iterating with a bias toward learning and shipping
• Apply a product mindset to work, focusing on user outcomes and performance
• Influence team processes in a startup setting, identifying gaps and offering solutions

Key requirements

• Strong full stack web engineering experience with ownership of features across frontend and backend in production
• Proven ability to communicate technical decisions clearly (ADRs, RFCs or equivalent) to Product and Design
• Product-minded focus on performance, stability, and conversion
• Comfort working in a startup/scale-up environment with broad remit
• Experience running experiments and making judicious trade-offs
• Curiosity about AI-assisted development and practical use of tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude
