Associate Project Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead cost management for capital projects across Southern England and collaborate with a Director to shape project outcomes. You’ll guide the full lifecycle from inception to operation, driving cost control and value delivery. You’ll mentor junior staff, manage client interfaces, and ensure timely, quality outputs. Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver cost management services for capital projects across Southern England
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from inception to operation, including estimating, procurement, design, site delivery, commissioning
• Lead cost management commissions and ensure on-time, quality delivery
• Mentor and develop senior cost managers, graduates and apprentices
• Foster strong relationships with clients and project team; act as primary client interface
• Ensure staff training is up-to-date and compliant; manage team outputs per timescales and quality standards
• Lead and motivate a team of surveyors; communicate effectively with clients and consultants
• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in project approaches and presentational skills
• Deliver cost management services within a client-focused and professional team

Key requirements

• Interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build long-term relationships
• Experience in consultancy or client environments delivering full cost management services
• Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration; Cost Reporting; Final Account resolution
• Strong measurement skills and knowledge of quantified procurement routes
• Experience managing internal resources and mentoring junior staff
• Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• CSCS card holder
