Overview
In this role you will design, develop, and deploy cloud-based Java microservices to support a growing fintech platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, paired programming environment to solve complex problems and improve architecture through automation and testing. The position offers a greenfield backend project alongside a mobile app team, within a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deploy microservices into AWS
- Support other business units by investigating problems, querying data, and building tools
- Collaborate in a paired, highly collaborative environment to solve complex problems
- Work with the full engineering team to continually improve architecture and processes
- Prototype new concepts and technologies; push for automation
Key requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience
- Proficiency with Java, Spring, and SpringBoot
- Proficiency with concurrent programming principles and basic design patterns
- Excellent verbal communication, remote development and strong problem-solving skills
- BSc/BA/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
