Data Scientist

Overview

As Data Scientist in a proptech startup, you will help establish the data function to support marketing and sales. You’ll be the first data hire, setting foundations and a roadmap for the team to scale. Expect to shape predictive analytics and data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, external IR35 contract. You’ll work hybrid from London and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

• establish and lead the initial data function for marketing and sales
• define the data roadmap and short-term priorities
• build and evaluate predictive models to guide business decisions
• hire and mentor subsequent data team members as the function grows
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into strategy
• implement data visualization and reporting to inform stakeholders
• integrate data sources (SQL, Excel) and ensure data quality
• advise on data-related processes and governance

Key requirements

• Understanding of predictive models and statistical analysis
• Highly skilled in Python and R
• Start-up experience / first hire within Data Science previously
• Data Visualization tools
• Knowledge of SQL, Excel and desirably Salesforce
