Overview

In this role you will handle a varied civil and commercial litigation caseload within a supportive Contract Resolution Group. You will work closely with senior lawyers to deliver high-quality service, managing disputes from contracts to professional negligence and construction matters. The position offers a collaborative, development-focused environment with flexibility in hybrid or remote work settings. You will make an impact by resolving contract-related disputes for both Claimants and Defendants and contributing to client relationships. This opportunity combines hands-on litigation, client contact, and ongoing professional growth within a reputable national firm.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters (excluding personal injury)
  • Advise on contract disputes arising from the sale of goods and services and other commercial claims
  • Handle fast, intermediate, and multi-track litigation
  • Liaise with clients by phone and in person and progress files using the firm’s case management system
  • Assist with billing and invoicing
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers to deliver high-quality service
  • Represent both Claimants and Defendants in disputes
  • Coordinate with insurer-funded clients (advantageous experience)

Key requirements

  • PQE experience in civil or commercial litigation
  • Strong experience advising on contract-based disputes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Confidence managing own caseload
  • IT proficiency including Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Experience with insurer-funded clients (desirable)
