Overview

As a Business Acceptance Analyst, you will support client onboarding by conducting KYC and conflict checks under supervision, and advise on AML matters including source of funds and risk assessments. You will research clients using corporate databases and Companies House, and communicate insights to matter managers. You will review sanctions, PEP and adverse media, and draft concise KYC and conflicts analyses. This role sits in the Professional Regulation and Standards team, contributing to risk management and compliance across the firm. Responsibilities

  • Perform KYC and conflict checks as part of client onboarding under supervision
  • Advise on AML matters such as source of funds and risk assessments
  • Collect, review and analyse KYC documents for clients across risk profiles
  • Conduct in-depth client research using Companies House and corporate databases
  • Carry out sanctions, PEP and adverse media checks and report findings
  • Gather source of wealth/funds documents and advise matter managers accordingly
  • Request additional information and communicate decisions clearly
  • Review risk assessments on IntApp and perform conflict checks
  • Draft KYC and conflicts summary analyses to guide business decisions

Key requirements

  • Experience in a law firm or risk & compliance environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • Ability to analyze documents with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Good prioritization and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Confidence in discussing matters with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements (helpful but not essential)
