Fire & Security Engineer

Overview

In this permanent role, you will service and maintain fire alarm systems to BS5839 standards across commercial and residential sites, helping ensure safety and compliance. You will join a growing team of specialists within a fire safety solutions provider, contributing to reliable system performance and rapid fault resolution. Responsibilities

• Programme and commission Advanced panels (50+ devices) with cause-and-effect configurations
• Diagnose and resolve faults across leading systems (Advanced, Kentec, C-Tec, Apollo, Hochiki)
• Attend emergency call-outs as part of the team rota
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital service records
• Provide occasional support with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton)

Key requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing and maintenance
• In-depth knowledge of BS5839 and fire industry standards
• Experience with fire alarm systems (Advanced, C-Tec, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and compliance
• Experience with security systems (Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton) would be beneficial
