Overview
In this role you will advise on a broad range of insurance coverage and liability disputes within a Top 50 UK law firm’s expanding Insurance Disputes team. You will handle subrogated recovery claims, navigate policy wording issues, and manage complaints with bodies like the Financial Ombudsman and Lloyd’s. You’ll also train colleagues and provide strategic guidance to support client success, while working with insurers, MGAs, and policyholders. This is a growth-focused role offering clear progression and a chance to shape insurance dispute outcomes across diverse clients.

Responsibilities
- advise on insurance coverage and liability defence matters
- manage subrogated recovery claims and policy wording issues
- handle Financial Ombudsman and Lloyd’s complaints
- deliver training and provide strategic guidance to support client success
- represent insurers, syndicates, corporate bodies, and public sector clients on complex matters
- advise policyholders in third-party liability disputes, including product liability
- build and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the firm
Key requirements
- minimum 4 years’ PQE
- solid technical experience in contentious insurance matters
