Project Manager- Civil Engineering

Overview

In this role you will lead civil engineering site delivery for a regional contractor in the London/South East area. You will oversee site staff and sub-contractors, ensuring safe, timely, and profitable project completion on schemes ranging up to 60 million. You will collaborate with clients, coordinate design and risk controls, and mentor junior team members. Responsibilities

• Manage site staff, operatives and sub-contractors
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and project management plans
• Understand tender allowances and monitor contract profitability against budgets
• Prepare and monitor programmes of work
• Foster good relations with clients
• Manage design coordination
• Assess and engage sub-contractors
• Ensure timely and profitable contract completion
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering (highways, structures, infrastructure)
• Experience on schemes worth 7M-10M
• Flood and river protection experience advantageous
