Compliance Manager

Overview

As Compliance Manager for Canada, you guide DAZN Bet’s regulatory obligations across Canadian operations and act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams. You will lead licensing, regulatory liaison, and risk-based compliance for new products and everyday operations. The role sits at the heart of the business, shaping practical compliance solutions while balancing commercial aims. You’ll influence decision-making through strong regulator relationships and a proactive, learning-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply knowledge of Ontario, Alberta and broader Canadian legislation and guidance
• Advise the business on commercially compliant operational procedures in line with regulatory requirements
• Build and manage stakeholder networks to ensure visibility of compliance and timely guidance
• Perform horizon scanning for regulatory changes and feed insights into business planning
• Serve as the internal point of contact for Canada projects and represent compliance in steering meetings
• Maintain regulatory policy documents and guidance with annual reviews and updates
• Deliver all elements of regulatory reporting to Canadian regulators
• Foster positive relationships with regulators, industry stakeholders, and third-party providers
• Collaborate with Compliance Monitoring to run the quarterly monitoring programme and drive improvements
• Support end-to-end handling of regulatory incidents with the Head of Technical Compliance and regulator communications
• Assist the Compliance Director with governance processes and reporting to senior stakeholders in Canada
• Monitor rulings and share learnings with first-line teams to optimise compliance
• Coordinate with marketing to ensure compliant execution of campaigns and website content
• Conduct monthly and ad-hoc content checks to ensure ongoing compliance

Key requirements

• Experience in the online gambling sector with knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Canada
• Experience in a compliance-focused role within online gambling
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
