Overview
As Tax Risk and Governance Manager, you will help expand the tax governance offering for a leading professional services firm. You’ll work with a diverse client base to identify tax risks, build sustainable tax control frameworks, and meet global transparency and ESG requirements. You will advise on SAO and Corporate Criminal Offence compliance, support HMRC risk reviews, and help clients publish their tax strategies. The role includes leading workshops, delivering projects, coaching juniors, and driving team growth in a fast-growing practice.

Responsibilities
- Expand the tax governance offering across a diverse client portfolio
- Identify and manage tax risks for clients
- Develop and implement tax control frameworks and ESG/transparent reporting
- Advise on Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO) compliance
- Support HMRC business risk reviews and tax strategy publishing
- Lead workshops and training sessions; manage project delivery
- Coach junior team members; contribute to team performance and growth
Key requirements
- Experience delivering tax governance projects (SAO, CCO, tax strategy development, HMRC risk reviews)
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops
