Air Conditioning Engineer

Overview

In this role you will maintain and repair air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF and heat pumps, across sites in Preston. You’ll handle planned maintenance and reactive work, and document all activities accurately to logs and reports. You will support installation knowledge and troubleshooting procedures, contributing to reliable climate control for clients. The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and precise record-keeping. This opportunity offers hands-on HVAC work within a supportive, professional team at Mitie.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) on air conditioning systems
• Potentially service refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets / multideck or ice machines
• Apply installation designs and bespoke troubleshooting procedures; maintain accurate documentation and logs of inspections and remedial works

Key requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air-Conditioning or Heating & Ventilation
• Relevant qualifications in F-Gas & ODS regulations
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures
• SC Clearance check required due to site access
