You will apply deep ultrasound expertise across the full innovation pathway, from early feasibility to market readiness, shaping technical strategy with partner organisations. Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact technical programmes within surgical and interventional device development
  • Apply ultrasound expertise across the full innovation pathway from feasibility to market preparation
  • Define technical strategy in collaboration with partner organisations and strengthen long-term relationships
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems and shape project direction
  • Contribute to building thought leadership in the surgical technology community
  • Translate research outcomes into clinically beneficial products and solutions
  • Develop and validate surgical robotics platforms and intelligent instruments with integrated sensing

Key requirements

  • Strong ultrasound foundation gained via PhD, postdoc or relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge in transducer design, ultrasound signal processing, high-speed electronics, image segmentation
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as EN 60601 and metrology techniques (e.g., scanning hydrophones)
  • Experience within multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to influence technical direction and interact with partner organisations
