Overview

As a Lead Engineer in Digital Engineering, you will shape a consumer-grade, scalable UI experience for Transaction Banking. You’ll lead design and implementation of core UI components, partnering with backend teams to ensure code quality, automation, and testability. You’ll mentor engineers, influence the product roadmap, and help foster an engineering culture across a global team. This role sits at the intersection of fintech innovation and reliable, 24×7 cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of critical UI components in the Digital Engineering stack
• Drive code quality, automation, and testability across the UI domain
• Collaborate closely with backend teams to deliver integrated UI solutions
• Develop and mentor a team of engineers working with product owners and designers
• Contribute to vision, roadmap, and engineering culture for a consumer-grade Digital Experience
• Support deployment and operations of a highly available cloud-based platform

Key requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in frontend development
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Experience architecting full-stack applications in AWS
• Experience with high-availability systems and deployment strategies (active/active, blue-green)
• BS or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Strong ability to lead engineering teams and deliver complex products with multiple stakeholders
