Senior Construction Manager

Overview

In this Senior Construction Manager role, you will oversee delivery of high‑quality projects from inception to completion within the London PMC team. You will build strong client and stakeholder relationships and drive safety, quality, and cost discipline to protect the firm’s reputation. You will lead resource planning, subcontractor management, and procurement aligned with the construction programme to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery. Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients, Sub-contractors and other project team members
• Foster professional relationships with 3rd party stakeholders
• Uphold the company’s collaborative reputation by delivering safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with current legislation
• Optimize use of resources (labour, plant, sub-contractors, materials)
• Produce and align procurement schedule with construction programme
• Oversee appointment of sub-contractors and suppliers
• Prepare and manage construction phase health and safety plan
• Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental practices in collaboration with HSQ&E team
• Organise team structure to maximise resource efficiency
• Collaborate with the project commercial team to stay within approved cost plan

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Excellent technical knowledge of construction procedures
• MCIOB and degree in a related subject
• Up-to-date knowledge of building and Health and Safety legislation
• Commercial and contractual awareness
