Overview

In this role you will oversee day-to-day banking operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. You will work closely with the team to maintain high customer service standards and uphold risk controls. The position involves onboarding, core banking tasks, and coordinating with Credit Risk and regulators to meet policy requirements. You’ll contribute to operational resilience and efficiency within a global banking environment. This is a chance to support critical banking processes and shape how operations align with risk and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operations align with bank policies, regulations, and best practices
  • Deliver high-quality customer service consistently
  • Process client data, transactions, and cashiering activities
  • Oversee onboarding, account opening, cards, and online banking
  • Support team with a proactive, responsible approach
  • Complete transactions accurately and within deadlines
  • Coordinate loan drawdown with Credit Risk
  • Set up approved credit facilities on core systems
  • Maintain limits for trading, customers, counterparties, and settlements
  • Escalate risks to management and report through proper channels
  • Manage Treasury counterparties as required
  • Support and deliver project-related tasks on time
  • Process loans, deposits, rollovers, renewals, and repayments per procedures
  • Maintain and update customer mandates
  • Review and update operations procedures and desk instructions
  • Investigate and resolve queries/discrepancies; maintain logs and evidence
  • Ensure all transactions comply with risk controls, AML, and compliance
  • Escalate risks/issues to relevant stakeholders promptly
  • Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and changes
  • Maintain high processing accuracy with minimal errors or complaints
  • Adhere to bank policies, procedures, and product knowledge standards
  • Support reporting/MI production for management
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by line manager
  • Comply with regulatory obligations, training, and reporting of breaches
  • Support operational resilience, training, and incident response

Key requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent in banking/financial services
  • Minimum 5 years banking experience
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and processes
  • Proficient in banking technology
  • Knowledge of Equation Banking system (advantageous)
  • Keeps up to date with new banking products
