Overview

In this role, you support scheme transitions and in-force management for pension schemes. You will work with transition teams, advisers and administrators to ensure data quality, accurate modelling and compliant data cleansing. You contribute to pricing and reinsurance activities, and oversee data updates, GMP equalisation and longevity swap processes. You will impact how data-driven decisions secure member pensions and drive efficient administration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee scheme transition work and resolve data or query issues with advisers
  • Ensure compliance with contractual data cleansing requirements and calculate premium adjustments where applicable
  • Collaborate with RL third-party admins and in-house teams to set up scheme databases and coding of calculation routines
  • Set up valuation systems to receive data and update modelling; explain value movement due to data/modelling changes
  • Coordinate with pricing team on data/benefit issues; monitor monthly updates for accurate modelling and administration
  • Prepare input for Individual Policy documents and ensure proper benefit descriptions
  • Perform longevity swap data cleanse; update fixed cashflows and explain movements in value
  • Check GMP equalisation implementation and manage ongoing calculations with administrator
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects with pricing and reinsurance on backbook liabilities and new deals
  • Validate records, perform independent trade bookings reviews, and conduct due diligence on deals proceeding to buyout
  • Manage reserve balances to ensure accuracy and act as actuarial support for backbook initiatives
  • Implement calculation routines on in-house systems and verify results of calculations
