Overview

As Yorkshire Rivers Strategic Partnership Manager, you lead the Yorkshire Rivers Partnership across Yorkshire Water and Rivers Trusts to deliver a shared, catchment-based approach that improves river health and resilience. You’ll align cross-organisational workstreams, govern multiple projects, and secure funding to maximise environmental and customer benefits. You’ll engage regulators, partners and internal teams to translate strategy into measurable outcomes. This role offers meaningful impact at scale in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership across the Yorkshire Rivers Partnership and translate priorities into coordinated delivery and measurable outcomes
• Lead cross-organisational workstreams to develop business cases, support PR29 planning, and Integrated Water Management Plans
• Manage partnership governance, prepare and facilitate meetings, log decisions and ensure actions are delivered
• Oversee a portfolio of cross-organisational projects, monitor progress, identify risks and address barriers
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and regulators, influence decisions and advocate a nature-first, catchment-based approach
• Identify funding opportunities, maximise investment, and drive continuous improvement to increase partnership impact
• Lead communication and engagement activities to promote partnership benefits among organisations and stakeholders
• Deliver evidenced environmental and customer benefits from programmes, surpassing outcomes achievable by single organisations

Key requirements

• Strong experience collaborating across organisational boundaries, with ability to influence stakeholders and drive action
• Experience managing programmes, projects or complex workstreams with translation of strategy into delivery plans
• Knowledge of environmental and catchment management, ideally with Catchment Based Approach partnerships or similar
• Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills for meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to identify issues, solve problems, and navigate complexity to maintain progress
• Experience identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and applying learnings to delivery
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire
