B1 Licensed Engineer – Birmingham

Overview

As a B1 Licensed Engineer at Ryanair, you will maintain the 737-800 and 737-8200 fleets and support AOG recovery, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Based at Birmingham Airport, you will report to the Station Engineer and guide junior mechanics and apprentices. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the airline’s reliability and service levels. This is a hands-on role with growth potential in a leading European carrier.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and defect rectification of 737-800 and 737-8200 fleets
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, following company procedures and regulations
• Supervise and mentor Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices

Key requirements

• Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential)
• B1 License (EASA/UK CAA) with Boeing 737-NG Type Endorsement (Essential)
• Boeing 737-Max Type Endorsement and Recency (Desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
• Good IT literacy with AMOS experience (Desirable)
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK and Full UK Driving Licence
• UK CAA licences accepted; must demonstrate 5 years maintenance experience and have completed or be able to complete EASA Module 9 and Module 10
