Senior Engagement Consultant (Scotland)

Overview

In this role, you join WSP’s UK Engagement team to help communities understand projects and their impacts. You will support public consultation and stakeholder engagement on major infrastructure programmes across sectors, collaborating with colleagues to create clear communications and meaningful community experiences. You’ll learn from senior engagement specialists and contribute to thoughtful, compliant engagement that supports project objectives. This role offers growth in a collaborative, supportive environment with high-profile projects and a clear impact on communities.

Responsibilities

• Translate project details into accessible communications for communities
• Organize events, publish materials, and run surveys to gather feedback
• Analyse data and present themes to inform project development
• Provide communication and engagement support to clients (virtual consultation rooms, posters, banners, maps, events)
• Manage projects with attention to timeline, budget, and resources

Key requirements

• Degree or comparable professional experience in a relevant field
• Experience in roads, rail, utilities, water, environment, or energy
• Experience contributing to or leading engagement on multi-disciplinary projects
• Experience mentoring, supporting, or line-managing colleagues (valued)
