Town Planner – London

Overview

As a Town Planner in a London-based planning and development consultancy, you will help shape high-quality, design-led developments across residential, commercial and other sectors. You’ll work across the planning process from site appraisals to delivery, collaborating with landowners, developers and authorities to progress projects. This role offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio and clear opportunities for career progression in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Responsibilities

• Assist across the planning process from early-stage appraisals and strategy to planning applications and delivery
• Collaborate with landowners, developers, local authorities, consultants and other property professionals
• Assist with or manage planning applications and planning strategies
• Maintain effective client-facing communication and manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality development projects
• Support on negotiations and project delivery through to completion

Key requirements

• Experience in town planning, ideally in a consultancy or developer environment
• Good understanding of the UK planning system and development management
• Experience assisting or managing planning applications and strategies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good commercial awareness and interest in property and development
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and local authorities
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proactive approach and passion for the built environment
• MRTPI or working towards chartership (advantageous)
