Global Real Estate Lawyer – Vice President

Overview

In this role you will support the Global Real Estate business with a focus on the EMEA portfolio, advising on real estate and construction matters. You will draft, negotiate, and oversee complex agreements while guiding senior stakeholders and coordinating outside counsel to deliver transactions efficiently. You will help drive standardized templates and risk-aware decisions within a fast-paced, collaborative legal team. Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate real estate and construction agreements (leases, amendments, renewals, licenses, MOUs/LOIs, purchase/sale docs)
• Draft and negotiate construction and project documents; advise on procurement strategy with internal stakeholders
• Maintain, update, and drive adoption of standardized design and construction templates across EMEA
• Provide practical, risk-based legal advice on real estate and construction risks and dispute avoidance
• Manage real estate/construction-related disputes and support pre-litigation strategies with internal stakeholders
• Select, instruct, and oversee outside counsel across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
• Set scope, deliverables, timelines; ensure commercially practical, compliant legal work
• Manage budgets/fee arrangements and monitor spend against matter plans
• Drive efficiency via templates, playbooks, lessons learned, and post-matter feedback
• Collaborate with Global Real Estate, procurement, risk/compliance, and controls to ensure policy alignment
• Provide legal support on other projects within Global Real Estate Legal Team

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer
• 6+ years PQE in-house and/or private practice with real estate and construction experience
• Strong drafting and negotiation of complex commercial and real estate agreements
• Clear, practical legal advice on risk identification, escalation, and mitigation
• Ability to manage multiple transactions/projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience partnering with risk, compliance, and controls in a regulated environment
• Experience managing outside counsel, including scoping, supervising, and driving quality and cost discipline
