Digital Construction Manager

Overview

As Digital Construction Manager, you drive digital delivery across Environment projects, ensuring contractual digital obligations are met and BIM and information management are applied effectively. You will lead digital processes, champion new technologies, and oversee information management from mobilisation to handover. You will work with project teams, clients and partners to standardise digital handovers and realise continuous improvement through data-driven insights. This role offers influence over digital construction across a major UK infrastructure business with a focus on sustainability and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement client digital and BIM requirements to meet information management standards
• Interface with client digital teams and align on delivery
• Develop and oversee Information Execution Plans, BIM Execution Plans, Information Delivery Plans and asset information requirements
• Standardise digital handover processes to ensure deliverables are complete and compliant
• Mobilise and deploy digital initiatives and pilot technologies on live projects
• Provide onboarding, coaching and training to project teams on digital tools and processes
• Support project teams in managing structured data, asset information and documentation throughout the lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with the company’s digital strategy, governance and information management processes
• Collaborate with project leadership, information managers, design teams and supply chain partners for consistent digital delivery
• Monitor digital risks and implement mitigation strategies

Key requirements

• Strong digital expertise with practical construction/infrastructure experience
• Experience with digital construction platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint for Projects, FieldView, CDEs) or similar
• Knowledge of BIM, information management standards and digital project delivery
• Experience managing digital mobilisation and information delivery on live projects
• Understanding of asset information requirements and digital handover processes
• Experience supporting adoption of new digital technologies across teams
• Knowledge of document control, digital assurance and information governance
• Understanding of digital workflows, automation and systems integration
• Ability to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement programs
