Software Engineer- III- iOS- JPM Personal Investing- Mid Level

Overview

You will build and deliver high-quality iOS apps in a fintech context, collaborating with a cross-functional Product team in an Agile environment. You’ll help evolve the mobile architecture, implement features end-to-end, and maintain production apps with a strong focus on reliability and user experience. Expect to contribute to code quality, testing, and release processes while sharing knowledge with the engineering community. This role offers impact through shaping mobile solutions for a leading financial services brand and advancing digital wealth management experiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product to understand user needs and deliver features within an Agile SDLC
• Contribute to evolving mobile architecture and design decisions (e.g., ADRs, microservices concepts adapted for mobile)
• Own tasks from estimation to release and post-production
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix prioritized defects
• Write unit tests and adhere to coding standards for quality
• Take ownership of releases and related processes to enable frequent deployments
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and continuous learning
• Share knowledge and participate in skill-sharing sessions within the team and broader engineering org
• Propose and collaborate on technical initiatives to improve the codebase and toolset
• Focus on solving underlying problems rather than symptoms

Key requirements

• English working proficiency
• Commercial experience in native iOS mobile development
• Strong knowledge of Swift and Xcode
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing unit tests with XCTest
• MVVM + Coordinator design pattern and other architecture patterns like SOLID
• Mobile design best practices (UI, threading, etc.)
• Core iOS libraries and frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Security, Combine)
• iOS app deployment experience (testing, review, publishing to App Store)
• Automated CI/CD experience; Bitrise experience beneficial
• Monitoring and alerting to maintain production apps
• REST API understanding
• Git flow experience
• Good communication and teamwork with Product and Ops
