Senior Associate – Real Estate Finance

Overview

In this role you will join the Real Estate Finance team within Baker McKenzie’s Banking & Finance Practice in London to handle complex cross-border property finance work for top-tier clients. You will advise on senior lending, leveraged real estate finance, and related special situations, contributing to a high-performing, collaborative environment. You will build client relationships, develop a strong understanding of client businesses, and participate in targeted secondments and internal knowledge sharing. The opportunity offers potential for promotion and cross-office transfer within a global firm dedicated to exceptional service and deal execution.

Responsibilities

• Advise on real estate finance matters including senior lending, back leverage, and related special situations
• Handle cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions and some UK-focused deals
• Develop and maintain client relationships with knowledge of their businesses and markets
• Engage in business development and promote the firm’s capabilities
• Share knowledge within the team and support collaborative work
• Participate in targeted secondments with clients
• Contribute to the transfer programme opportunities across offices
