Python/Pandas Developer

Overview

In this contract, you will build and optimize FX data solutions for a Tier 1 bank, delivering scalable Python workflows and real-time data assets. You’ll partner with trading desks and cross-functional teams to shape data-driven insights that support front-office decisions. Your work will span from pipelines to data quality, with impact on core operations and strategic initiatives. This role offers rapid, high-impact delivery in a collaborative, bank-wide context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python/Pandas-based data pipelines for FX operations and enhancements
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to design data-driven solutions
• Manage multiple workstreams and navigate changing priorities
• Interact with trading/front-office teams to deliver accurate, performant datasets

Key requirements

• Advanced Python skills with emphasis on clean, scalable code
• Deep experience with Pandas for data manipulation and analysis
• Proven SDLC experience
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and debugging
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
• Experience in front-office FX or FICC trading environments
• Exposure to FX datasets and real-time trading systems
• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies
