Data Manager – Work Management

Overview

In this role, you will own and govern the Master Data Management layer for the Work Management data programme, ensuring data integrity across a global agency network. You’ll define ownership, stewardship, and quality standards, and establish scalable governance processes. Collaborating with data teams, architects, and stakeholders, you will enable reliable project management, resource planning, and reporting through a solid data foundation. Responsibilities

• Define and implement master data governance policies, standards, and procedures
• Assign data ownership and stewardship for each master data domain
• Develop and maintain the data governance framework including data quality thresholds and remediation workflows
• Define data quality rules and acceptance criteria for master data entities
• Monitor data quality metrics and dashboards to drive continuous improvement
• Resolve cross-system data conflicts and integrity issues
• Oversee cross-reference mappings between source systems and canonical identifiers
• Manage onboarding of new agencies and source systems into the master data framework
• Ensure identity resolution processes remain accurate as the solution scales
• Engage with data owners and stakeholders to align on standards and requirements
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements across regions
• Report on governance maturity, quality trends, and risk to leadership

Key requirements

• Proven experience in master data management, data governance, or data quality roles
• Strong understanding of MDM concepts including ownership and stewardship
• Experience with data quality frameworks and metrics
• Knowledge of GDPR and implications for master data management
• Experience with ERP/HCM domains (Workday, SAP, Dynamics) is highly desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data relationships and identify quality issues
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or cloud-based data platforms is a plus
• Organised, self-motivated, able to establish new processes in a greenfield environment
