Digital Design Coordinator (Mechanical)

Overview

In this role you will support the development of mechanical discipline models and digital design outputs for HDR’s Building Engineering Services. You will work under experienced engineers to create accurate BIM content, diagrams, and drawings that underpin effective, multidisciplinary delivery. You will help ensure model integrity, coordination, and clear documentation to enable high-quality project outcomes. This position offers a pathway to influence how digital design drives innovation and sustainable infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Support a discipline under supervision of architects/engineers
• Assist in developing the discipline model and digital delivery outputs
• Create discipline-specific models, systems, content, and outputs
• Model BIM elements accurately within the current software constraints
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams
• Maintain the discipline model with project information, coordinates, scales, and views
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with precise annotations

Key requirements

• Understanding and working knowledge of Revit
• Experience with document management infrastructure
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communication tools
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
