Quality Manager – Nuclear/EPC/Construction

Overview

In this role you will lead quality across UK nuclear projects, aligning processes with nuclear safety and traceability requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure quality activities, manage supplier networks, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll shape risk-based quality plans, oversee audits and NCR resolution, and coach other Quality Managers. This position offers impact on large-scale, safety-critical projects and a clear path to advanced quality leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-outage quality planning and site setup
• Improve surveillance routines during outages and manage NCR resolution
• Drive post-outage lessons learned and continuous improvement
• Build and maintain quality dashboards to track performance
• Drive internal quality action plans and coordinate strategic forums
• Lead supplier risk assessments and define ITPs/ITPLs
• Define surveillance strategies across the supply chain (A/B/C levels)
• Manage witness schedules and inspections with suppliers
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving (8D, A3, 5 Why, FMEA)
• Ensure Nuclear Safety and traceability requirements are applied
• Support release of final documentation (EoMR)
• Coordinate and coach other Project Quality Managers as required

Key requirements

• Extensive industrial Quality experience, preferably in Nuclear or construction
• 4-10 years of experience
• Experience with NEC3 standards
• Experience in a large scale industrial quality environment such as mining, energy, construction
• Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience or qualifications
• Proven experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong track record of driving change initiatives and improving quality performance
