Stores Controller

Overview

In this Stores Controller role, you will manage stock control at St Barts Hospital in London, ensuring accurate records and compliant stores operations. You will support Facilities and Engineering teams to keep hospital services safe, efficient and uninterrupted. You will maintain a clean, well-organised stores area and use stock control systems to generate actionable stock reports. This position offers development opportunities within Skanska’s Building Services unit and a chance to contribute to high-quality healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake stock control and inventory management
• Receive and issue goods
• Maintain the stores area to health and safety standards
• Utilise stock control system and keep accurate records
• Prepare reports on stock levels
• Support Facilities and Engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient hospital operations

Key requirements

• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Good communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with inventory/stock control systems
• Ability to lift and move materials in line with manual handling guidelines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
