Overview
As a Senior Paraplanner in our Wealth Planning team, you apply advanced financial planning knowledge to support client outcomes and mentor junior colleagues. You will collaborate with Wealth Planners, attend client meetings when appropriate, and ensure high-quality technical and administrative delivery. The role blends hands-on planning with training, process improvement, and contributing to Wealth Planning standards. You will work within a collaborative, client-focused culture aligned to Schroders values, with exposure to a range of advisory and reporting activities. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Wealth Planners to manage client planning needs and solutions
- Act as a second point of contact when Wealth Planners are unavailable and build client relationships
- Attend client meetings to deepen understanding of the advisory process and client rapport
- Draft client reason-why letters in a timely manner
- Assist in researching and assessing options and solutions for clients
- Complete administrative duties (letters, take-on forms, advisory correspondence, annual reviews, proposals)
- Respond to client enquiries and maintain clear response records
- Liaise with insurers for policy information and product illustrations
- Ensure new business and client files comply with Cazenove Capital procedures
- Coordinate with Wealth Planning support team and delegate admin work as appropriate
- Pursue CPD and relevant examinations to maintain knowledge
- Demonstrate high technical competence across financial planning areas
- Support and train junior colleagues when required
- Contribute to and present at pod, paraplanning and team meetings
- Champion Wealth Planning and handle client and technical queries from colleagues
- Contribute to projects and committees to improve Wealth Planning standards and processes

Key requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Interest in and understanding of wealth management and financial planning
- Experience in financial services, ideally with high-net-worth clients
- FCA-approved Level 4 RDR-compliant qualification in financial planning, or equivalent
- Strong technical competence across core financial planning areas with ability to guide others
- Professional and well-organised
